Artist's Comments
Using my gorgeously illustrated Chinese Opera book as a reference, I decided to stylize one of the female warriors in my own way. She was supposed to become a witch in my version (clawed hands), but it got late, and so I went for the plain old Cantonese Opera look. I was up til around 2AM doing it.
Think I could have done more pattern, but it might have spoiled it. Oh, and I know her left eye turned out funny, so no need to point it out.  Drawn on cartridge paper using Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens. |
